It was a cold day out side and far to bright for garrets taste. There was fresh snow on the lawn that reflected the light in every direction imaginable. But more to the point it was Christmas a time he clearly did not like. To him it held as much meaning as the rest of Christianity. His only memory's of it being at the hands of nuns who believed him to be "the devils child." there were worse memory's then that thou. But he just squashed them and pushed them deeper and deeper away from his thoughts as he sat there in the common room flicking idly past one Christmas show after another before finding a nice old fashion horror movie. Haruki came in wearing her jogging cloths, hair tied back. Obviously she had just come back from a nice long run. She passed by the common room, seeing Garret. But she needed water. With a bottle of water now in hand she went to the sofa, leaning against the back as she looked to the TV. She then looked down to Garret and could see on his face that he wasn't too happy, though she guessed completly the wrong reason. "I know it's Christmas time, and I'm sorry I haven't gotten decorations up just yet. It's just that in Japan it's not really a holiday celebrated that often."

"Haruki" garret said as on the TV a man suddenly started to reach up and climb out of his own grave. "I do not care for Christmas" he said as he sat there his hypnotic golden eyes focused on the TV "Christmas these days has no meaning and to me its empty" he said as a few memory's of the abuse he suffered started to slowly surface. But he soon shook his head closed his eyes and continued to watch the TV.

Haruki frowned a bit. She didn't care much for Christmas either, didn't see point to it, but she still didn't like seeing one of her team mates upset. "Well. I believe it is just you and me here this Christmas, perhaps we can just skip it here, unless you're going to the school as well..." She offered in hopes to cheer him up.

"I might shift over there for a while or so" he said as he looked over to her for a moment, his lips, parting for just a moment before pressing together "Clara Amiko's friend. Has been going threw a bit of a hard time recently. I'm trying to keep her company but well she is a teacher and I have to be careful about that stupid line," he muttered. His voice made it almost seem that he was worried about her reputation and that he did not wish to smear it. But truth was that he wanted to shout that he loved her from the top of the highest building. And the fact that he could not was goring away at him on the inside.

Haruki placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. "I understand. Family and friends are the most important of all. Perhaps I'll catch a flight back to Japan to see my old team mates then. Since everyone else has plans."

"You should probably do that,” Garret said before risking a lop sided smile to her. "Your brother would love to see you again I am sure." and with those few words he spoke he felt as thou he had managed to stab himself deep in to the heart. Only a few months ago had he found his own brother. A lost part of his life. Then one day he was gone. No message no warning his brother just left him and all he had was the Kouken and Clara. "And perhaps ill be able to get some study in with this place all quite. There is no way ill be able to do that at the school" he said as he tried to keep the pain that the man had caused out of his voice.

Haruki nodded a bit. "Well I doubt I'll be seeing him there he's always going somewhere or another for his training." She then noticed the look in Garret's eyes. She could see he was upset. She wrapped her arms around his shoulders.

"perhaps" he said as he simply nodded. His shoulders flinching just slightly as she touched him the light from the TV having stopped him from suddenly shifting away. "tell me have we got any popcorn?"
