From down the pathway leading to the entrance of Xavier’s school, a strange four legged creature could be seen heading towards the building. Paul, in the form of a large German Shepard, was following the strong, familiar aroma, which reminded him of mutants and led him up to the school. He was looking to join the X-men and for a place to stay for a while. So as he went up to the door, he sat there for a moment before he began to bark loudly and scratch at the door, in an attempt to catch someone’s attention and let him in.

It was a quiet day and Kelsey had few classes today so she was in the empty library strudying as per usual. She loved biology and it was no surprise. She was of course an elemental. She skimmed through the text on the mutant gene. She had an essay on that exact topic to be handed in the next day and she had training at the Kouken later plus there was the fact that she needed to go to her d**n birthday party. Today was the day she turned 18 and Clara and Craven had thrown her a party at the rock.
She hoped desprately that Simon would join them there. She knew he wouldn't but she felt sort of responsible for him probibly due to the fact that she had found him in the park that night when he seemed so alone. Cooper had been so proud of her like a father whose daughter had brought home a injured bird in an attempt to nurse it back to health and take responsibility for it.
Yes she was all grown up now. Not the frightened little girl she use to be. Suddenly Stitch who was laying by her feet lifted his head and gave a growl. She lifted her head from the text and glanced down at him frowning. "Whats up?" The wolf glanced up at her for a moment then back at the window. She bit her lower lip and turned her attention to the window too.
Suddenly the wolf got up and hurried out the room. "Hay!" Kel cried and jumped to her feet then hurried after him. "Stitch I'm suppose to babysit you... come back!" She called after him as she followed him down the stairs. It was then that she heard the barking as she came to a stop halfway down the stairs. Stitch had reached the front door first and was sniffing at the bottom slit his tail wagging with excitement.
Kelsey smiled and then ran the rest of the way down. She loved animals. She shoved the wolf aside and flung open the front door. Her emerald eye fell on the german shepard. "Aww hey there." She glanced aroudn to see who the dog belonged to and didn't notice Stitch slip out . He raised his tail and sniffed at the new comer then turned his head to Kelsey.
Stitch of course knew this was no dog... He sat down infront of the german shepard and raised his paw as if he was greeting a human. A trick Alec had taught him back at Elite.
Kelsey's eyes returned to the dog and she stepped forward to crouch down infront of him. She held out her hand and smiled. "Hello pet. You lost? I'm Kelsey." Her irish accent came out in her clear voice and her other hand came to rest on stitch beside her. "This is Stitch and your not lost any longer Pet." She tilted her head to the side as she looked into the dogs eyes. She instantly fell in love with the beautiful creature.

Anim continued to paw at the front door for what felt like at least five minutes, until he could hear a few sets of different footsteps and the loud sniffing of what sounded like another dog inside. Then stepping backwards a few steps as the door opened and a wolf rushed out to greet him, Anim sat with his tail between his legs, a little leery about being around a wolf. He hadn’t really grown accustom to his own wolf form, let alone a wolf that he had no control over, ever since that day he had uncontrollably attacked his own best friend while in the form of a grey wolf.
Then as he noticed a beautiful young lady follow out after the wolf, Anim shied away from her out-reached hand, contemplating on whether or not to reveal himself as a human. Even though he could sense that the school was filled with mutants and he did go there to essentially meet and join them, he wasn’t completely sold on exposing his abilities to people he didn’t know. But after about a minute of sitting there, he thought it was best to just return to his normal form, rather than run around as a dog forever.
So sitting back on his hind legs as if he was going to walk like a person, Anim began his transformation back into a human. And out of the large german shepard, Paul started to materialize and grow to his full six foot height. Then with a shy smile on his face, he looked down at the girl crouched next to the wolf, knowing that it must have been pretty awkward to just see a dog change into a human. “Umm, hey Kelsey... I’m Paul... Hope I didn’t startle you.” He said in short, broken sentences, as he reached out his hand to help her up.

Kelsey frowned when the dog shied away. She wondered why it was so frightened of her. He was so cute. She retracted her hand slightly but then it sat down and she stared in wonder as it began to change. She followed a boy's body up to his handsome face then gave a little cry and fell back in surprise.
Stitch got to his feet and started wagging his tail again at the final revelation of a new student. The wolf then turned to Kelsey and attempted to lick her face. She pushed him back momentarily turning her wide eyes away from The new boy then her eyes followed up his body to him again.
"Bloody hell." She gasped as she stared at him then frowned at the hand he was offering... not a paw... a hand. She suddenly realised he was cute and jumped to her feet brushing herself of slightly then her hand slipped into his and a faint blush came to her cheeks. She could feel the warmth from his hand run up her own arm. She gulped. "Um.... no no you didn't startle me." Liar... your not becoming any better at it Kel. She told herself then glanced away trying to control her blush. "Um... pleased to meet you I guess."
Her eyes flicked back to his. She liked him better as a dog. This was incredibly awquired now. Her hand slipped from his. "So ... how can I help you?" She offered.

Paul laughed slightly at her reaction to his sudden change in appearance. He tended to get many different reactions, but this had to be the first time he ever managed to make someone lose their balance and fall backwards. He usually tended to get the whole running away while screaming response from most people, seeing as it wasn’t everyday you saw a transforming dog. But after growing so use to the same exact effect every other time, he sort of enjoyed a change in reaction for once, even though he felt a bit awful at the same time for making her fall over.
“Well... kind of looked like I startled you, to me.” He muttered with a slight shrug, as he watched her get up, trying not to grin too much. Then looking down at her hand that he held, he felt his heart start to beat a little faster; quickly looking away for a moment, he made it seem as if he was watching the overly-excited wolf. Then taking back his hand and regaining his composure, he looked back at the stunning girl and smiled casually as he listened to her question. “Umm well, I happened to hear that this place is always welcoming to new mutants, and I just happened to be in the need of a place to stay.” He replied softly, not totally comfortable talking about being a mutant, regardless the fact that he just blatantly revealed it.

Yes! Kelsey tried hard to not scream her victory... Mmmm New guy. A smile spread across her lips then she instantly dropped her gaze to the floor her smile fading. She remembered Kyle. Kyle the boy that made her feel like she could fly. The guy that made her feel like se was capable of taking on the world. She had crawled out of her tiny protective box she had built around her since her fathers death because of Kyle. She had fallen hopelessly in love with Kyle...
Then Cooper found out that one of his Elite angels was dating an outsider. She remembered the moment he toke over her mind and controlled her words. She remembered the fight she and Kyle had that day. But it wasn't her fighting... It was Cooper. Then Kyle disappeared. For so many months she had slipped into his empty room praying she'd see him there on the bed listening to his music and being all moody but he never came back...
She let out a sigh and raised her head. She was an Elite angel. There was no way in hell Cooper would let her even think 'crush' around another outsider. "Um yeah... " She stepped aside and held her hand to motion for him to enter. "The Proffesor is away for a while but Harmony, The biology Proffesor, Clara, The power Management Professor and Warren, the science Proffessor are usually somewhere in the mansion." She said in a guarded voice. She seemed completely detached now.
She followed him inside then closed the door behind them. She thought about how best to get away from him her eyes traveling to the staircase almost Praying Harmony or Clara would come walking leisurely down it. Clara was at the Rock and Harmony out with The brute. She knew instantly that no one would come to her aid. Her eyes returned to Paul then dropped to stitch who was heading off up the stairs again.
"Paul was it?" She asked uncertainly. "Would you like a drink or maybe something to eat?" She managed a smile. He was incredibly cute. Stop it! She told herself and dropped her head again shaking it angrily and stomping off to the kitchen hoping he'd follow and half hoping he wouldn't. In her annoyance her powers reacted by forming a white mist that seemed to trail around her ankles as she walked...

Paul raised an eyebrow as he watched the girl begin to frown and avoid eye contact with him. So he couldn’t help but wonder if he had said or done something wrong without realizing it. But not being one to try and intrude on other people’s business, he just shrugged it off and acted as if he hadn’t noticed her hasty change in behavior. And trying to make sure he didn’t make things worse he decided that it might be best to just keep his mouth shut unless she asked him something.
So just nodding to her remark about the different professors that could possibly help him out, he just stepped silently into the house and looked around at the unfamiliar environment. “Yeah, the name’s Paul…” was all that he managed to get out before he watched her head off towards the kitchen shaking her head with a trail of white mist behind her. So standing there alone for a moment he contemplated on whether to follow her or not and then coming to consensus that he was indeed pretty hungry, he ended up following after her.

Kelsey turned promptly as she entered the kitchen and waited for him then moved back slightly and leaned against the island counter then tilted her head watching him come towards her. "So um.. What would you like...? We have some hotdogs..." She trailed off then gave a giggle at what she had just said. Hot... he was hot... and he was a dog before. She blushed and glanced away clearing her throat. "You change into dog often? I mean... is that the only form you can take on?" The mist started to envelope the ground and she still hadn't noticed untill she dropped her gaze and realised she was letting her powers take control over her emotions.
She rolled her eyes and sighed then pouted her lips and a strong wind formed around the kitchen blowing the mist away and making her hair whip in the wind. She smiled and nodded happy to have cleared the mist way then her eyes returned to Paul. "I guess I need more PM classes." She replied with a smile. "So back to the food... What do you feel like?" She pushed back onto the counter and let her feet dangle down the counter.

Paul followed her slowly into the kitchen, keeping in the wake of her shadow. Then standing halfway in the doorway, he folded his arms as he carefully scoped out the area. He felt that no place could be quite complete without a perfectly equipped kitchen, but that was probably just due to the fact that he grew up in the kitchen since his father was a well accomplished chef. But then as he returned his attention back towards Kelsey, the leaned back against the doorframe and listened to her question. “Yeah... sure, that sounds fine.” He replied with a raised eyebrow, unable to figure out why the word “hotdog” was so amusing to her. But then switching his focus to her second question, he answered simply, “No, I can pretty much turn into any animal imaginable... well that is if I’ve already come into contact with it before.” Then a second later, he transformed into a small calico cat and hopped onto the counter across from the girl and sat starring at her.

Kelsey watched him change in awe. This mutant was amazing. She was completely enthrawled by him. She watched the cat walked over with swift strides and hop onto the counter beside her. A soft smile formed on her lips. She was unsure whether she's be able to touch and caress the cat or not since it might have seemed wierd but then she thought what the hell and reached out to stroked Pauls head smiling gently at him.
"You know you could get anywhere with me if you in animal form. Its a confession not a suggestion by the way." She then let her index finger stroke across the cats cheek.

Anim purred softly as he gingerly rubbed his head against Kelsey’s outreached hand. He always felt that it was so much easier to get by in the world if he just stayed in his animal forms the entire time. People were just always so willing to feed and care for some random animal rather than someone of their own species, let alone a mutant.
Then as he sat there and listened to her speak, he meowed softly in acknowledgment before he turned back into his human state. “Don’t worry; I won’t use that to my advantage, too many times.” He replied grinning.

Kelsey pulled her hand back and smirked at him as he changed back into his human for. She was absolutely in awe of this mutant boy. She loved animals... She thought back to the centaur that she had found in the stables on that dark stormy night a year ago. How amazed she was by him too. How she went riding with him and her own horse Othello. Then suddenly she had an idea. She hopped off the table and hurried over to the cupboard to get out the sugar cubes placing them on the table then opened the fridge to retrieve too sealed packets of hotdog. She threw one over to Paul then placed the other beside the sugarcubes before retrieving two cokes from the fridge to then closing it.
Kel walked over to Paul and set down the Coke beside him. "You know what you'd be allowed to do often...? Ride with me..." She suggested. "My house is still untrained so I can't take him out on my own... I have no one to ride with..." She gave him an angelic smile. "How do you feel about being a horse?" She could just imagine the beautiful gracefull stallion he'd make. How he would run free through the forrest. The beauty he'd posses. Centaur never let her ride him. But maybe one day Paul would...Riding a horse would defenaitly be easier if the horse knew what it was doing.
She opened her coke and toke a sip. Then retrieved the sugar cubes and hopped onto the table infront of him again.

Paul caught the packet of hotdogs that Kelsey had tossed to him and set it down beside him. Then he took the soda she handed him and opened it, taking a sip as he listened to her proposition about him changing into a horse. He raised an eyebrow as he thought about it and found it quite amusing that she was actually asking him to turn into a horse for her. “So, are those supposed to be some form of bribery?” He asked with a slight laugh as he eyed the sugar cubes she had gotten out.
And since Paul wasn’t usually too comfortable with transforming into different animals at other people’s request, feeling that it only made him seem more like a freak show; it surprised even him when he felt that he’d probably change into anything if she’d ever asked, with the only exception being the animals that he’d never come into contact with before. And right now, that happened to be the case. “Well, besides seeing a horse in National Geographic, I’ve never actually met in real life... So, that’s kind of a problem if you want me to turn into one.” He replied before he took another drink of his soda.

Kelsey gave a little laugh then glanced down at the sugar cubes. She turned to him and blushed softly. "I'll give you a sugar cube if you want one..." She tilted her head as she spoke to him seeming slightly coy. "But these..." She lifted the box and admired them for a moment. "These are for Othello. " Her eyes returned to Paul. "I can't believe you didn't see the stables when you came in...We have horses... I have my own horse actually..." She smirked at him then put the sugar cubes down and hopped off the table. She grabbed a few from the box then grabbed her coke forgetting about the hotdog.
"Wanna see?" her eyes shone with excitement. He hand slipped into his without thinking and she gave him a slight tug.
